WELCOME AND INVITATION

Welcome to the official web-site for the TOSHIBA 2006 OK Dinghy World Championship. Please refer to the various headings to obtain information to assist you with planning for the event.

On behalf of the Race Organisation team I would like to extend a warm invitation to OK sailors from member countries of OKDIA to visit Australia to compete in this event. We hope that you will be able to extend your time in our country to enjoy a holiday either before or after the contest.

Thanks are extended to our host club Belmont 16ft Sailing Club and to the International OK Association of NSW Inc.and Yachting NSW for their assistance with the organisation of the 44th OK Dinghy World Championship.

Australia first hosted the OK Worlds in Adelaide South Australia in 1974. In 1982 and in 1990 the OK Worlds were held in Melbourne Victoria. Again in 1998 the event returned to Adelaide South Australia.This is the first time the OK Worlds will be held in the state of New South Wales.

Australia is proud to again be chosen to host the OK Dinghy World Championship. We look forward to your participation in the events of February 2006.
